Kinky hair is almost universally described as tough and coarse. The opposite is true.

With fewer cuticle layers than any other texture, kinky hair is actually the most delicate- the most susceptible to dryness, and the most in need of protection.

Dickey's Rule:

Stop shampooing your kinky hair. Traditional shampoo with suds strips the oils kinky hair can least afford to lose.

Swap it for a hydrating cream cleanser. It removes buildup and impurities while adding moisture at the same time.

Hydrating at every step, including the cleansing step, is non-negotiable.
